Marcus by Goldman Sachs
Goldman Sachs has entered the personal loan market with Marcus by Goldman Sachs and has brought their online savings and CD accounts into the new brand.
The following presentation consists of content ideas and executions that aim to make Marcus.com the go-to hub of financial knowledge for consumers. When complete, this hub will include videos, articles, infographics, data visualization, as well as various helpful tools.
Creative treatment of the hero space:
Turning financial dreams into reality
The idea for these hero images came from combining the look and feel of the Marcus brand elements that utilized stipple and cross-hatch, and full color photography. We wanted to convey the feeling of a dream becoming reality with the help of a loan from Marcus. The dream is represented through illustration--a reference to a blue print or a plan, and then fading into the reality of a photograph.

The Marcus Decoder: Simplifying the language of personal finance.
Marcus aims to make lending simple which means making financial lingo easy to understand. We proposed creating a tool that would decode complicated financial messaging while also serving as a handy dictionary.
Buzzfeed-style quizzes, slideshows, and listicles.
An entertaining infographic that illustrates what people are willing to give up for their dream home.
An engaging and practical infographic about starting a home improvement project.
Innovative approach to SEO: Ask a Marcus Expert.
Marcus wants to dominate the finance landscape in search. We will create a library of short-form video content that addresses specific search terms by answering them in the form of a Marcus Expert. This type of video content is a way to personify a dictionary or an FAQ section.
The videos will live on YouTube as well as on Marcus.com—as a real-life chat bot. This idea will drive SEO objectives and serve as a useful, consumer-friendly tool for anyone looking to answer their financial questions.
